Dua Lipa is a English musician and singer born on August 22, 1995 in London United Kingdom. In 2014, after working as a model and actress she signed with Warner Bros Records. She released her debut self-titled album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released and included Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. The album was rated platinum throughout the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to Peja, the Kosovo cities of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She has a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Her father, a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan the band Oda has influenced her in a musical way.
